About Zack
For me, songwriting has never been about performing — it's been about understanding and connecting. Understanding myself first, and through that, finding a way to connect with other people too.
I've always been a fairly quiet and private person, and music became the place where the thoughts, feelings, and experiences I kept to myself could finally have a voice. When I picked up a guitar at twelve years old, I thought I was learning how to play music. What I didn't realize was that I was finding the tool that would help me understand myself, and eventually, connect with the people around me.
Songwriting has always felt less like creating something and more like discovering something. The songs on my debut album, Everything I Never Knew How To Say, are rooted in real experiences, real questions, and the complicated emotions that come with being human.
Whether I'm recording, performing, or sitting alone with a guitar, I'm still chasing the same thing I've been chasing since I was twelve years old: an honest song.
Because sometimes music can say the things we're still trying to find words for — and that's where the real connection happens.
